Clustering by analytic functions

چکیده
Data clustering is a combinatorial optimization problem. This article shows that clustering is also an optimization problem for an analytic function. The mean squared error, or in this case, the squared error can expressed as an analytic function. With an analytic function we benefit from the existence of standard optimization methods: the gradient of this function is calculated and the descent method is used to minimize the function. 2012 Elsevier Inc. A new method for fuzzification of nested dummy variables by fuzzy clustering membership functions and its application in financial economy
In this study, the aim is to propose a new method for fuzzification of nested dummy variables. The fuzzification idea of dummy variables has been acquired from non-linear part of regime switching models in econometrics. In these models, the concept of transfer functions is like the notion of fuzzy membership functions, but no principle or linguistic sentence have been used for inputs. Consequen...
متن کاملOn Certain Classes of Analytic Functions Defined by a Linear Operator
In this paper, we define and study two new classes of analytic functions which generalize a number of classes studied earlier. Sharp coefficient bound and some inclusion results are discussed. We also observe that these classes are preserved under the Bernadi integral transform. 2000 mathematics subject classification: 30C45 • 30C50
متن کاملApplication of the Norm Estimates for Univalence of Analytic Functions
By using norm estimates of the pre-Schwarzian derivatives for certain family of analytic functions, we shall give simple sufficient conditions for univalence of analytic functions.
متن کاملAssessment of the Performance of Clustering Algorithms in the Extraction of Similar Trajectories
In recent years, the tremendous and increasing growth of spatial trajectory data and the necessity of processing and extraction of useful information and meaningful patterns have led to the fact that many researchers have been attracted to the field of spatio-temporal trajectory clustering. The process and analysis of these trajectories have resulted in the extraction of useful information whic...
متن کاملCertain Inequalities for a General Class of Analytic and Bi-univalent Functions
In this work, the subclass of the function class S of analytic and bi-univalent functions is defined and studied in the open unit disc. Estimates for initial coefficients of Taylor- Maclaurin series of bi-univalent functions belonging these class are obtained. By choosing the special values for parameters and functions it is shown that the class reduces to several earlier known classes of analy...
